Adrian Lee wins HHSAA State Wrestling Championship

An extraordinary second round during Saturday’s HHSAA State Wrestling Titles as Mililani’s Adrian Lee won the 160 weight class state title, 6-2 over Baldwin’s Nai Hasigawa.

Lee, the more youthful sibling of the late victoria Lee who died in December, secured his most memorable state title to pay tribute to his late sister.

His family watching in the stands and sibling Christian in his corner. The lesser, defeat with feeling subsequent to acknowledging what he’d achieved.

“I recently realize that I needed to win it and I expected to win it and I need it.” Lee said. “There’s unadulterated joy, nothing else.”

“( My family) means the world to me, I was unable to do it with next to no one of them.”

Lee completed the year with a record of 23-1.

Concerning the remainder of the State Wrestling Titles, the Moanalua young ladies secured their second-consecutive group State title with a State-record 245 focuses while the Kapolei young men brought back home its most memorable group title in program history with a joined score of 163.5.
